MATTHEW PEZDA, M.D.

Dr. Pezda was born and raised in Michigan. He attended the University of Michigan for his undergraduate degree. He then earned his medical degree at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. He completed his internship at Sinai Grace Hospital and ophthalmology residency at Kresge Eye Institute, both in Detroit, Michigan. He then completed his vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at St. Michael’s Hospital at the University of Toronto.
Dr. Pezda specializes in a variety of medical and surgical conditions of the retina and vitreous including age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment repair, endophthalmitis, uveitic and retinal vascular diseases. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Retina Specialists.
